TT: Where Can I Park???

All of us, but especially new drivers, sometimes forget where we can and can not park. Plus, there are some fun facts, too!

Don't Park Here!!!: The following signs and blurbs are about where NOT to park.

Bike Route/Cyle Track Signs:

We must remember to share the road with our fellow cyclists. Did you know that originally roads were only for bicycles? Yep, that's right. It wasn't until the last century that automobiles were given permission to share the road with them. So, next time you think you "own" the road and that the guy cycling on the side shouldn't be there, realize just how much people like him gave up so you could drive your car on the road.

Bus Lane:

There is a reason why that space between all of those cluttered cars along the side of the road is empty. It's so that pedestrians can safely board their bus as it pulls into it's reservation. Don't be that guy that parks in the bus lane.

Handicap Parking:

When you see that blue wheelchair icon painted on the blacktop in shopping lots, you know you shouldn't park there, and you don't. But, make sure that when you're trying to park on the roadside that sometimes there is no wheelchair icon. Sure, the lines might be blue, but maybe you won't notice that...so always keep your eyes open for this blue sign!!!
