TBT: The 1936 Chrysler Airflow!

Ah, skipping back to those good ol' days, when cars were unique and eyecatchingly different. With curves and smooth styles, cars back then certainly were a treat!

Chrysler was no exception for fascinating design and state-of-the-art technology in their own cars. In fact, the 1936 Chrysler Airflow was a bit ahead of its time. So, much so, unfortunately, that many people found it ugly and Chrysler ended up stopping the Airflow's production after only 3 years and after only building 20,000 models.

The Airflow was the most radical thing on wheels for it's time, which conservative buying Americans found uninteresting. But, this car was unique. Chrysler designers designed the expressive front of the car with the help of an air tunnel, which is where it got it's name from.

Now, here is a video sharing more about it and showing it in motion! Enjoy!
