Currently keeping with our theme of motor-inspired art, we want to feature another artist we found today while surfing the web. Let us introduce you to Andrew Chase, a "self-employed commercial photographer, furniture maker, welder, as well as a highly talented assemblage artist residing in Salt Lake City, UT. His breathtaking collection of mechanical animals are created using an assortment of recycled automobile and plumbing parts. Each, fully articulated, animal takes between 80 and 120 hours to complete." (Source: NDI Gallery - Andrew Chase)
Now, on with the art display! =D
Andrew Chase keeps his works simple, titling them easily after their real-life inspirations, such as "cheetah", "giraffe", and "elephant". Plus, interestingly enough, most of his pieces are movable and, therefore, can be displayed in different positions (like the T-Rex shown above).
