TBT: America's Bantam Jeep!
This is a perfect post for Throwback Thursday. The fellows over at 4WheelHero put together a tribute trailer to the American Bantam Jeep. Their goal with the "“America Bantam Jeep” is to produce a historically accurate mini series which brings to light the little know truth behind the birth of the modern day Jeep. With funding primarily acquired through an Indiegogo Campaign, this mini series will be produced for cable television in 2015, the 75th anniversary of the birth of this champion reconnaissance car by the American Bantam Car Company."
They then hope to "sell the mini series as a whole to a major network and ultimately return 50% of the net revenue back to several leading National Off Road Stewardship Associations and several Respected Military Veteran Organizations as well!!! The mini series will be an inspirational and bittersweet accounting of the timely pioneering of the vehicle well-known throughout the world today as Jeep. It was during the 1940's when the US Army enlisted many top US Auto Manufacturers to develop a vehicle which would meet their needs and defend our country during World War II."
